OVERVIEW:

While backpacking around the world, I created a travel blog to collaborate with fellow creators and aspiring travel professionals, producing and supplying original content to our recently launched travel company.

Challenges:

• Segue my background and education in hospitality and tourism management into a travel and lifestyle blog.
• Translate traditional corporate management experience into creative project management and creative production.
• Develop new skillset in digital design, website building, copywriting and creative project management.

STRATEGY:

• Produced SEO-driven articles and copy to market travel company, engage prospects, organize community events, and build engagement.
• Attract other creators, travelers and collaborators to contribute photography, videography, and articles to content portfolio.

RESULTS:

• Managed creators and led production of all post-trip videos for Now or Never Trips and all newsletter collateral promoted via Travel Guyds.
• Negotiated and produced digital marketing assets (promo videos, photo packages, marketing copy) for four hotels and hostels in Mexico and South America.
• Built a content portfolio while developing a digital marketing skillset encompassing travel writing, digital copywriting, and creative production.
