In a time where face-to-face interviews are conducted from opposite sides of the planet and autonomous, self-driving vehicles can drop you off at work, you'd think we'd have reevaluated the 'ol two-page + cover letter way of doing things.

When I've built my own teams, I've always felt drawn to CVs that buck from their blueprint, stand out from the rest of the stack, and belong to candidates whose experience requires more than a few breathless bullet points of regurgitated AI jargon.

Navigating by the compass of one's own intuition can feel like gravity itself has taken the wheel -- it's scary, at first, but as momentum gradually becomes choreographed velocity, purpose has a funny way of falling right into place.

Like assembling a team -- or creating a janky website -- I've come to cherish my own career for what it is: a one-of-a-kind collage of unique experiences, bold pivots, evolving proficiencies and rewarding pursuits -- messy on paper, better on canvas.
