OVERVIEW:
I lead the rebrand and relaunch of Kimpton’s $6.5M renovated rooftop bar and lounge atop the historic Sir Francis Drake Hotel, overseeing concept, hiring and training, menu development, operational strategy, brand partnerships, nightlife programming, and special event operations.


Challenges:
• Relaunching an iconic luxury venue in a fickle and competitive nightlife and events market.
• Managing high-profile clientele and VIP expectations for a corporate entity in a unique urban environment.
• Driving revenue growth through creative brand and product partnerships while maintaining company standards and guest experience.
STRATEGY:
• Developed SOPs for VIP guest handling, service training, and operations management.
• Partnered with luxury wine and spirits brands to deliver premium events and activations.
• Oversaw recruitment, training, and leadership of a multi-department team managing both daily service and large-scale events.

RESULTS:
• Delivered record-breaking quarterly event revenues, including $500K+ in special event revenue in Jan 2020 alone.
• Executed 50+ private events per quarter, including $200K+ corporate activations.
• Elevated the rooftop’s reputation as one of San Francisco’s premier nightlife destinations.
