OVERVIEW:

During COVID-19, I directed B2B sales and operations, digital marketing, and client relations for an early-stage hospitality-tech startup, securing partnerships with hotels, bars, and restaurants.

Challenges:

• Launching a mobile order/payment product during COVID-19’s disruption to hospitality.
• Securing funding, pilot contracts, and POS-API integration while proving product viability in a volatile market.
• Building operational systems and client support processes for rapid rollout.

STRATEGY:

• Create original content, investor decks, and marketing collateral to attract beta pilot partners and locations.
• Target multi-outlet boutique hotel properties with more revenue streams and higher POS-API hit rate.
• Negotiate beta pilot partnerships and manage all onboarding for hotel and restaurant clients while leading UI/UX improvements based on client feedback.

RESULTS:

• Secured $500K in pre-seed funding through strategic partnerships and investor engagement.
• Onboarded and managed 8 initial hotel and restaurant accounts, becoming proficient with 5 of the leading POS systems and driving adoption across multiple markets.
• SOPs, launch guides, and client service systems enabling multi-site rollouts and data expansion initiatives.
